Acorn Camping and Caravan Park

Located on the Heritage Coast, Acorn Camping and Caravan Park is a small, peaceful and family owned rural site. The park is just 1 mile from Llantwit Major and the beach.

Acorn Camping and Caravan Park is a 4½ acre site that is secluded by farmland. The site features 105 pitches. Touring Caravans, Motor Homes and Tents can all be accommodated. Each pitch is individually marked. Some of the pitches feature trees and hedgerows which provide extra privacy and shelter.

The park features a modern amenities building that includes free hot showers. There are both male and female shower rooms. They each contain a separate hand basin and a place to get dressed that is away from the shower. Both include free hair dryers and the men's shower has shaver points.

There is a baby/family changing room that contains a shower cubicle, toilet, hand sink, potty, baby shower seat and a baby changing board. There are also disabled facilities which include a large open plan shower room.

Acorn Camping and Caravan Park has a dishwashing area and a laundry area that features 2 washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is also an iron and board. You can purchase electric tokens to use an electric socket.

The park has camping gas and Calor gas available for sale on-site. Acorn Camping and Caravan's owners live on the park to make sure that the site runs smoothly. The site asks for quiet noise levels between 11pm and 7am and does not allow loud radios. This ensures that all visitors can enjoy a peaceful holiday.

Acorn Camping and Caravan Park has a wonderful children's play area with a large wooden climbing frame, swing, monkey bars, climbing wall and a 14ft trampoline. Other site amenities include an indoor games room with pool table, table tennis and air hockey.

GLAMPING

Acorn Camping and Caravan Park have some five metre Bell Tents which sleep 2-4 people and are perfect for couples or families.

All the necessities that you will need are provided. From the beds, cozy rugs, blankets and cushions, to the essentials for cooking – a gas stove, pots, pans crockery, cutlery and of course wine glasses for the odd glass of wine sat round the fire.

The beautifully designed bell tents are each individually furnished using natural materials and decorated with magical fairy lights, lanterns and the crucial accessory…. some gorgeous bunting!!

OUT AND ABOUT

You can enjoy water related sports along the 28 miles of stunning coastline. Choices include surfing, sea fishing, wind surfing and just relaxing on the beach. Children can play in the rock pools and hunt for crabs and fish. Further inland there are hills and valleys where visitors can enjoy walking, horse riding, quad biking, cycling, lake fishing and more.

Another place is visit is the Glamorgan coastline which is Wale's first designated heritage coast. You can also visit the peaceful and tranquil valleys which have a fascinating history and an industrial heritage.

Acorn Camping and Caravan Park is just over 15 miles from Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. A local park and ride train service from Llantwit Major with take you to the Stadium. The trains run every hour Monday to Saturday and every two hours on Sundays.
