Abbots House Farm Camping & Caravan Site

Abbots House Farm Camping and Caravan Site is open from 1st March to 31st October. The holiday cottages and Bunkhouse Barn are available all year.

Abbots House Farm Camping and Caravan Site is located on a sheep farm that lies in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. There are wonderful views across the moors from most of the site.

The site is Camping and Caravan Club listed and inspected. Abbots House Farm welcomes both members and non-members.

Abbots House Farm Camping & Caravan Site have two campsite fields and both are well sheltered with high hedges and trees. They can accommodate tents, caravans and motor homes. The majority of the camping area is flat and level with just a few parts gently sloping.

From the majority of the site there are views across the moors and there are views of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which is heritage steam-operated from some parts of the site.

Between their 2 camping fields there are a total of 90 pitches. A small meadow lies adjacent to the railway which is great for back packers and is opposite the farmhouse. During Bank Holidays the site allows a large number of additional pitches.

You can arrange for your rally to be able to use Chapel Hill.

The site allows dogs but they must be kept under control at all times. They must be exercised off of the site. Please clean up after your dog in respect to all of the children on the site.

Abbots House Farm notes that they are a farm site and that you should make sure to bring appropriate footwear.

They have vacancies for the winter storage of caravan from the 1st of November until the 28th of February each season.

DIRECTIONS

From the south: Turn north in Pickering onto the A169. In about 13 miles, turn left, signed Goathland and Beckhole. Follow the minor road right through the village, turn right opposite Goathland Garage into our access lane (old railway line). Farm and campsite are at the end of the lane.

From the north: Turn south off A171 about three miles west of Whitby onto the A169 signed Sleights and Pickering. In about six miles turn right, signed Goathland/Beckhole. Turn left opposite Goathland Garage into our access lane (old railway line). Farm and campsite are at the end of the lane.
