Shaw Ghyll Caravan Park

Shaw Ghyll Caravan Park is privately owned and caters for caravans, motor homes and tents. The 2 acre level park is quiet and secluded and is set in Shaw Ghyll, High Shaw, Simonstone amidst the beautiful Dales in the heart of Upper Wensleydale.

There is a stream running past the campsite which makes a great trickling sound to help you sleep at night. There also an impressive waterfall nearby, make sure to watch your children in this area.

Facilities include clean, heated toilets and showers, hairdryers and shaver points. The site allows dogs but they must be kept on a lead at all times. There are plenty of walks near the site for taking your dog out though.

Simonstone is just a 5 minutes' walk away and can offer you a bar snack, full evening meal or just a drink. Just 2 miles away is Hawes which has shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants, the Wensleydale Creamery, Rope makers and Countryside museums as well as Gayle Mill

There is excellent walking in the area with the Pennine Way passing through Hawes. You can go fishing, swimming, golfing, pony trekking and play golf nearby.

Within easy reach of the site are museums, waterfalls, castles and craft shops.

DIRECTIONS:

Take the Muker/Simonstone road from Hawes and follow for 2 miles, we are 500 yards further up the road from Simonstone Hall on the left

The park is open from 1st April to the end of October
