Wick Caravan and Camping Site

Wick Caravan and Camping Site is a STB 4 Star friendly, family-run site in a very quiet, secluded and picturesque area surrounded by trees. The site reopened in 2006 under the new management of William, Tricia and Julie Miller. The site is probably one of the most sheltered in Caithness.

The site is licensed for 90 pitches, 15 of which are hard standing with the rest being on a level grassy area. Electric hook-ups are available for 42 of the pitches.

Wick Caravan and Camping site welcomes caravans, motor homes, trailer tents and tents. If your vehicle is higher than 2.89m you must contact the Warden for information relating to the alternative access route necessary for high sided vehicles.

The site's showering facilities include hair dryers, automatic hand dryers and shaver points. There are also dish washing sinks and 2 chemical disposal points. One of the chemical disposal points is the kind which you drive over. The site also has a small shop, telephone booth and a tourist information booth. There is a small children's play area next to the site.

Only a ten minutes' walk away is the town centre. There you can find various shops, restaurants and food take away facilities. Nearby are a launderette, indoor swimming pool, local heritage centre, harbour and the Pulteney Distillery. Also close by is an 18 hole golf course and a 3 mile long clean, sandy beach. Fishermen love the site and it is popular to go fishing on the local river and the lochs.
