Ashe Farm Caravan and Campsite
Set in the Vale of Taunton between the Quantock and Blackdown Hills, Ashe Farm Caravan and Campsite is 6 acre site is situated in two secluded meadows with breath taking views of the surrounding mountains and it is only 4 miles from Taunton.
Both meadows have electricity and there are hard standings in the first field. The site caters for tents, motorhomes and caravans.
There are toilets and showers with disabled facilities and there is also a laundry. Outdoors there's a children's play area, a tennis court and a marked walkway.
There isn't a shop at Ashe Farm Caravan and Campsite, but basics can be purchased from the local garage half a mile away and there is a supermarket 5 minutes up the road. There's also the Nag's Head pub 5 minutes away from the site and there's also pubs in nearby West Hatch and Stoke St. Mary.
HOLIDAY CARAVANS FOR HIRE
Willowbank, Willowbrook and Fieldview are our three holiday caravans on our working farm. They are situated near the 16th century farmhouse overlooking the pond.
Each caravan sleeps six, with one double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double bed in the living area. Willowbank & Willowbrook also have a room with a bunk bed. They are fully equipped with hot water, shower, toilet, fridge, gas cooker, heater and colour TV. Gas is supplied but electricity has a £1 coin meter. Duvets and pillows are provided but please bring your own linen and towels.
The Holiday Caravan bookings are weekly, running Saturday to Saturday.
OUT AND ABOUT
Ashe Farm Caravan and Campsite has an Information Room and here you will find all you need to know about the site and the surrounding area including places of interest, days out and walking activities.
If you want to get out and about then visit Taunton, it's the home of the county cricket club and there's also a racecourse. It's got plenty of shops and supermarkets, a theatre, a cinema and a ten pin bowling alley. There's plenty of sporting activities including swimming and golf.
If you're thinking of going to the beach then Woolacombe, Minehead, Bream Sands and Lyme Bay are all easy to get to by car.
Other places to visit include the West Somerset Railway at Bishops Lydeard where you can take a steam train along the cost to Minehead and through the Quantock countryside.
In East Somerset you can visit Cheddar Gorge and the Caves, Wookey Hole, the Willow and Wetlands Centre and the Mendip Hills.
Cricket St. Thomas Wildlife Park and Diggerland are great days out for the kids and Sheppy's cider is also worth a visit.
Ashe Farm is a working farm and the campsite will appeal to those who want a peaceful break away from it all or those who like to get out and about. It is open from April until October and dogs are welcome.
