Dobella Lane Farm is a fully-working farm that lies in the heart of East Yorkshire. Their caravan area is merely an extension of their family garden area. The site has many wide open spaces, excellent walks, wildlife areas and natural history features located in the surrounding area.
The site is well drained and is not waterlogged at all. You will have no problem getting your motor home or tourer on and off the site.
Dobella Lane Farm is situated in the Vale of York and is ideally placed to venture and explore all of Yorkshire. York, Leeds, Sheffield and Hull are all under a 45 minute drive away. You can also simply enjoy the country air and clean living.
Their traditional farm still has day to day tasks to perform. The farm is an arable farm rather than a milk or sheep farm so the main crop is cereals. These are harvested in the summer time. If you come at the right time you might even get to witness a harvest, but you should know that these areas are quite dusty. After the crops are cleared off of their fields you can explore them. Please ask them about it first. The site is very welcoming towards dogs if your dogs are friendly to their two dogs Biggles and Toffee.
Dobella Lane Farm's farm garden site is open throughout the year. The site features grass standing pitches though the soil is sandy so it is generally hard all year round.
If you were to get stuck in the winter months they have a tractor at hand to pull you out. Facilities include electric, outside loo, water points and green toilet disposal.
The nearby local village of Rawcliffe is picturesque and has a large village green and a thatched cottage. Their amenities include pony riding from a local stable. You can visit 3 pubs nearby. One of them won "Best Pubâ? for CAMRA Real Ales. Attractions include the Sugar Mill Nature Walk and the skate board park.
In 35 minutes of less you could be in Doncaster and York with their numerous attractions including Selby Abbey, Howden Minster and Carlton Towers, which is the stately home of the Duke of Norfolk.
Within easy reach is the RSPB Blacktoft Sands Nature Reserve. There you can see some of the many 270 species of birds that are found there.
The city of Goole is only 4 miles away and features tours of the marina, a leisure centre and a gym.
