Eden Valley lies in between the Lake District and the Pennines. The local area is an attraction in its own right; it gives easy access to the mountains and the moors on either side. Eden Valley is in a rain shadow area so you will get less than what you would expect from the Lake District.
Visitors will find a variety of attractions in the area. The highest mountain in England, Hadrian's Wall, the award winning museum of Tullie House at Carlisle, the unique Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle and a French Chateau of the grandest scale in the middle of County Durham that is filled with an amazing collection of artefacts are a few such attractions. You may also visit the Rheged Visitor Centre at Penrith, Garden Centres and a thriving local alpaca industry. There is also the famous Settle-Carlisle railway line that runs through some of the loveliest scenery in the land.
Eden Valley's campsite can accommodate up to 12 caravans, camper vans or tents.
The site has electric hook-us and free Calor Gas powered showers.
Campers have access to a chemical toilet disposal point and a wash house with WC.
Eden Valley collects their grass as soon as they cut it as best as possible in order to minimize the amount that gets trampled into your caravan. The owners are caravanners themselves and know the issues.
The have another ½ acre of land that is great for larger gatherings and rallies.
