Located between the Cartmel Peninsula and the southern tip of Lake Windermere, Oak Head Caravan Park is a great place for your holiday.
The park offers a quiet, attractive and secluded setting but is only 20 minutes from some of the most amazing sights of English Lakeland. Oak Head Caravan Park is a well-tended and uncrowded wooded site that is set among lovely fells.

OUT AND ABOUT
You will find a wealth of things to experience in the Lake District. You can enjoy outdoor pursuits, inspiring arts and culture and engaging children's attractions. Other activities to enjoy include browsing village shops, delis, galleries and craft and country fairs.
? Fell Foot Park is located two miles away from the park. It is on Lake Windermere and offers great lakeside access. They have free picnic areas and rowing boat hire which makes for great family visits. Fell Foot Park is open year round with lake facilities available during the season from April to October.
? Bowness-on-Windermere is Cumbria's most popular destination. The town is bustling with activity for much of the year. There are sailing and water sports on offer. You can also just relax and enjoy the atmosphere and peaceful lakeside setting.
? The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway is located 4 miles from the park. It is located in the picturesque Leven Valley at the southern end of Windermere. There you will see a historical look at one of the most important aspects of the Industrial Revolution. They also have a restaurant and gift shop.
? Grange-over-Sands is a picturesque seaside town that is also near. It is well worth a visit as the site provides visitors a traffic-free promenade, ornamental gardens, brass band concerts and vantage points for bird watching. There are even more attractions to enjoy there.
? The old village of Cartmel is very close to the Nursery Garden Holiday Home Park. Cartmel has a variety of interesting shops and traditional pubs that you can spend hours visiting. The village is most famous for the Cartmel Village Shop which was seen on the BBC's Great British Menu.
You can also enjoy fishing, riding and golf. Those who enjoy the outdoors and naturalists will enjoy nearby Morecambe Bay which is home to a large variety of bird life.
The park is near to well-established cycle routes including Walney to Wear and Whitby and the Cumbria Way Cycle Route which spans 72 miles of beautiful Lake District countryside.
DIRECTIONS
Leaving the M6 motorway at junction 36, follow the A590 fourteen miles towards Newby Bridge. Follow signs for Ayside on A590 bypass.
