Pennance Mill Farm Chalet and Camping Park
Pennance Mill Farm Chalet and Camping Park is a family-run site that is set on a working dairy farm. The site is set up in 3 sheltered and level meadows that are south facing. They have their own small on-site farm shop that sells general groceries and Cornish delicacies.
The park features 2 toilet and shower blocks that are located at either end of the site. The toilet blocks are lit up at night. They feature a great new children's play area that includes swings, slide, a climbing frame and monkey bars.
Pennance Mill Farm Chalet and Camping Park runs family entertainment nights in their barn during summer school holidays. You can enjoy games nights, family discos, skittle and pasty evenings. The events are in keeping with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that the owners wish to generate.
Their camping area is located in four sheltered south facing and mostly level fields. They feature views over the countryside. There is room for 75 pitches, all of which include 16 amp electric hook-up points. There are eight hard standing pitches.
Though the site accepts caravans, guests should not expect neatly manicured lawns and flower beds. When you book in at the farm house, an old mill wheel reminds you of the site's origins.
From the site you can walk along a private foot and cycle path that leads you to the sandy beach at Maenporth that is safe for bathing, windsurfing and diving.
From Truro take the A39 towards Falmouth, following the brown international camping and caravanning signs to the Hillhead roundabout, turn right, then straight across at the next mini roundabouts. Continue on for two miles to the Maenporth Beach road down to the bottom of the hill. Pennance Mill Farm is immediately on your left. Watch out for the International Camping signs along the route.
