Beehive Farm Woodland Lakes is located in the most southern part of rural Derbyshire. They offer visitors many fun ways to enjoy their corner of the magnificent National Forest.

The site comprises over 66 acres of woodland, fishing lakes and a family-friendly animal farm. The area is thriving with wildlife. They even have a tearoom on-site.

Beehive Farm Woodland Lakes combines a quiet and convenient location with great woodland beauty. They have easy links to the motorway network and are centrally located within the country.

CAMPING AND CARAVANNING

Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents are welcome at The Beehive's attractively landscaped woodland site.

For those wanting a little more luxury, we now have 3 Beehive shaped camping pods, equipped with a double futon/sofa bed heating and lighting please bring all other camping equipment with you.

With a selection of full hard standings, hard standing onto grass, grass with electric hook-up or grass without electric hook-up, we are bound to have exactly what you need. We have an adult only area (the paddocks) as well as the Family area (the glade) both areas have electric hook up pitches.

Animals lovers not only have wildlife to enjoy though, they can also visit the petting farm. The small farm has goats and free-range rabbits as well as Percy the Peacock and the pot-bellied pig's and also a play area and sandpit (small charge applies).

FISHING

The site has 3 well-stocked lakes to fish from. Local fisherman and campers alike enjoy the Botany Bay, Horseshoe and Jubilee Lakes. They provide an ideal spot for a quiet day spent alone or you can participate in club competitions.

The lakes are up to 12 feet in depth and they are stocked with carp up to 26 lbs, tench up to 6 lbs, bream up to 4 lbs and roach up to 2 lbs.

Botany Bay Lake has platforms that are suitable for disabled fisherman and it has easy access from the nearby free car parking area. There are toilet facilities on the site.

Many of our visitors find the Beehive is ideally situated to enjoy visits to Alton Towers, Historic Lichfield, Drayton Manor Park, Snow Dome, Conkers, Twycross Zoo, Uttoxeter Race Course, Donington Race Circuit, events at nearby Catton Hall and Park, Calke Abbey and the NEC.
