Great Langdale National Trust Campsite is located at the head of the magnificent Great Langdale Valley. The site is guarded by the dominating Langdale Pikes. The park is great for walking and climbing.
There are many fell walking routes in the area including Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, The Langdale Pikes and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike. There are numerous rock climbing spots along the valley floor that provide some of the best rock routes in the UK. A few of them include Raven Crag, Gimmer Crag and White Ghyll.
You can see Great Langdale National Trust Campsite's website to find out more information on walking and climbing in the area.
The site does not allow caravans but they do allow campervans. They have no hook-up points or Elsan points.
Great Langdale National Trust Campsite welcomes families, couples and individuals. They do not allow groups of 4 or more unless it is a family group with children that are under 16 years of age.
