Leachive Caravan Park

As you enter Tayvallich, Leachive Caravan Park is situated on the water front. The park's static caravans overlook the bay with space available for touring caravans, motor homes and tents at the top of the site. There are also Microlodge Hobbits and caravan holiday homes for hire.

This family-run site features electric hook-ups and a modern toilet block that includes showers and dish washing facilities with plenty of hot water.

Leachive Caravan Park has 2 luxury caravans available for hire. They are 12ft models, both with 3 bedrooms. Both include electric heating while one van also has en-suite facilities in main bedroom. The vans are fully serviced with electricity, hot and cold water, shower, fitted kitchen with full size cooker and fridge, microwave, TV, and gas heating in the lounge.

You must provide your own towels. A maximum of 6 people can sleep in each caravan. One of the vans is pet friendly. In the spring and autumn months there are 3 or 4 night short breaks available for the caravans. Both have balconies with sea views.

MICROLODGE HOBBITS

Fancy camping but not the idea of living in a tent? Then this is for you.

Each Microlodge Hobbit is fitted with mattresses, mini fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and heater. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, pillow and eating and cooking utensils.

Microlodges are solid, insulated and secure, a massive hit with children and adults alike, offering dry, warm and welcoming accommodation, no need to start pitching your tent.

They are great for cyclists, walkers, kayakers and families with children who wish to experience the great outdoors - indoors.

The village of Tayvallich is on the shores of Loch Sween in Argyll and is a small fishing town with a thriving community. Tourism is important to the village. It is an ideal centre for a holiday or weekend break. Young children can learn rowing and sailing at the bay. It is a haven for boats of all kinds.

A mile away from the park you can visit Carsaig Bay which features a nice sandy beach where you can go swimming. Within the village there is a pub and restaurant, a grocery store, a coffee shop and a playpark.

There are plenty of places around to enjoy a walk through the forest. At Taynish Nature Reserve you can observe the local wildlife. There is an active Sailing Club in the village that has 'round the can' races every Sunday during the season as well as several other longer distance weekend races and cruises. During Regatta Weekend the club races about anything that floats.
