Herdwick Croft Carvan Park is a small, secluded, yet well equipped site at the Northern end of Bassenthwaite Lake, within easy reach of the best of the English Lake District. The park has sites for your own caravan or touring vehicle. There are excellent facilities including:

Well behaved Children & Dogs are welcome. The site is within easy reach of Keswick on Derwentwater, Cockermouth and even Carlisle. There are superb family facilities nearby and it is an excellent area for the outdoor enthusiast.

A Lodge Holiday Home is usually chalet style with a pitched room and is the equivalent of 2 caravan holiday homes bolted together. Wonderfully spacious and potentially luxurious, you can purchase a lodge holiday home complete with all fixtures, fittings and furniture, ready to move in. With 2 to 4 bedrooms, you get superior levels of comfort and facilities in a lodge. Lodges start at around £75,000.

A caravan holiday home has typically 1 to 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, shower room and lounge area. They can comfortably accommodate 4 to 8 people, depending on layout. A new caravan holiday home will typically cost between £25,000 and £80,000.

Herdwick Croft Caravan Park is 7 miles from Keswick which is the North Lakes' most popular holiday and day trip destination. Nestling between the Skiddaw Mountains and Derwentwater Lake, the town is in an idyllic location with an abundance of walking shops, cafés and restaurants.

Cockermouth is 5 miles away and is a thriving market town with medieval and Georgian streets beneath the castle walls. Cockermouth is well known for its specialty shops and many art galleries. It is also home to Jennings Brewery.

For the children we are ¼ mile away from the Lake District wildlife park where you can wander around the beautiful 24 acre parkland and see over 100 species. The magical Bird of Prey flying displays have been a regular feature since the park opened and they have gathered an eclectic mix of over 100 species from Anaconda to Zebra.
