Pindale Farm Outdoor Centre

Pindale Farm Outdoor Centre is the the ideal base for all outdoor activities in the Peak Distict including:

* WALKING * HORSE RIDING * CLIMBING * FISHING * CAVING

* MOUNTAIN BIKING * HANG GLIDING * FIELD STUDIES

Pindale Farm Outdoor Centre has some outdoor pursuits equipment available for hire. Enquire about this when booking. The staff can give you expert advice on local attractions, weather conditions and more. There is local instruction available if required.

You are welcome to bring your pets if they are kept under control.

Pindale Farm has a climbing wall and bolt routes. It goes up two sides of the chimney and traversing around the end of the Engine House using a 130ft rope.

There is also an abseil platform for instruction in controlled conditions before venturing on to the hills.

They can also do your shopping for you. Prices are on application.

Pindale Farm Outdoor Centre has the following accommodations: camping, bunkhouse, power house and B & B. Every type of accommodation is reasonably priced.

CAMPING

The general public can go camping at the farm from March until October. This happens in the field to south west of the Farm House.

The camping field is flat and has taps and a drain. There are light at night. They offer two 6 amp electric hook-ups for those you require electricity. In the centre of the field are the toilet and shower blocks that supply hot water for the campsite.

BUNKHOUSE - BARN ROOMS

Pindale Farm Outdoor Centre converted their barn into a bunkhouse that accommodates 52 people. Rooms 1, 2, 4 and 5 inside can sleep 8 to 10 people. Rooms 3 and 6 inside can sleep 10 to 12 people.

Each of the 6 rooms has an Alpine Bunk where guests sleep side by side. They were based on the alpine refuges and climbing and caving club hostels.

Each of the rooms is self-contained and includes a shower, toilet, washbasin, kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans and a small colour television in an open plan room.

BUNKHOUSE - THE ENGINE ROOM

They have converted the old engine house into a bunkhouse that can accommodate up to 8 people.

The engine house has an Alpine Bunk where guests sleep side by side. It is based on the alpine refuges and climbing and caving club hostels.

It is self-contained and includes a shower, toilet, wash basin, kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans and a small colour television on 2 levels.

THE POWDER HOUSE

Pindale Farm's old powder house has been converted to accommodate 4 people. This happened when the centre was renovated in 1988.

It includes a 4 person bunk, small electric cooker, storage heater and a light.

If you stay in the powder house you use the same water, toilet and shower facilities as the campers.

FARM HOUSE BED & BREAKFAST

The local Eyre family bought the farm from the Hassop estate in 1340 and the farm house predates this.

It includes two double bedded rooms within. There are on suite bathrooms for B & B.
