Pillaton Hall Farm

Set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside with lovely views overlooking Cannock Chase, Pillaton Hall Farm is a peaceful camping and caravanning site.

They created their camping and caravanning site with children and families in mind. They have created a haven where guests can enjoy a relaxing and carefree break away from the stresses of everyday life.

The site has an excellent play area that is equipped with swings, slides and climbing frames which children will love. It is suitable for children aged 3 to 12 with parental supervision. They also have a new monster slide that is suitable for 4 children at a time.

Pillaton Hall Farm welcomes both caravanners and campers to their 10 acre site. They have some 16 amp electrical hook-ups available but you must book them in advance because of high demand in the summer months.

They have 4 well-stocked coarse fishing pools that all afford far reaching views over Cannock Chase.

The farm is surrounded by 500 acres of tranquil, rolling countryside but it benefits from easy access because it is near the A449 and M6 motorway. They are perfectly placed for exploring the county of Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands.

There is a host of activities near Pillaton Hall Farm to keep everyone in the family happy whether you are looking for family adventure, to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature or to see historic sites.

The historic market town of Penkridge is just over a mile from Pillaton Hall Farm and offers a wide array of amenities including a co-op supermarket, a great range of restaurants, a cosy traditional pub, a butcher's, a greengrocer's, a chip shop and both Chinese and Indian takeaways.

There is plenty of action and adventure in Staffordshire and the surrounding area. Just 30 miles away is Alton Towers and 20 miles away is Drayton Manor if you are interested in theme parks.

You can enjoy paintballing and outdoor rally driving among other activities at Lower Drayton Farm which is just outside of Penkridge on the A449. About 20 miles away is the Snowdome at Tamworth where you can engage in snowboarding and skiing on real snow. The indoor water park Waterworld in Hanley is about 27 miles away and there is a high ropes course at Trentham which is about 23 miles away.

The farm couldn't be better placed for those that enjoy admiring the beauty of nature. The farm features its own coarse fishing pools and on the doorstep are the 3,000 acres of heath land that make up Cannock Chase.

You can visit the Chase where you can go walking, pony trekking or mountain biking. Further away in the Peak District in the North Staffordshire moorlands you can see magnificent scenery. Animals lovers can visit the Monkey Forest in Trentham which is about 23 miles away and the West Midlands Safari Park which is about 31 miles away.
