Camping & Caravanning

Belonging to the Central Notts Scout Association, Sherbrooke is a camping site that is comprised of about 25 acres of undulating, open grassland.

Sherbrooke's campsite is situated just off of the B6386 to the A614 due north of Calverton Village, Nottinghamshire.

There is a 5 acre wood that adjoins the campsite where guests can go walking, tracking and bird watching as well as enjoying wide games and engaging in nature studies.

They have camping areas that cater for patrol, troop, group and district events with plenty of room for activities. Those that have visited Sherbooke before and have chosen a favourite camping area can have it reserved for them on a first come first serve basis.

Sherbrooke offers the following accommodation:

FERNWOOD LODGE: This accommodation is a cabin building that is comprised of 2 bedrooms. One of the rooms has 3 bunk beds and the other has 2 bunk beds. The lodge has a fully-fitted kitchen that features a cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and a sink with a hot water supply. This lodge also has a separate dining and living area that has a TV and a video player. The dining and living area has 2 tables with benches and chairs.

THE CENTRE: This accommodation has 2 rooms. There is a large hall that can be used as a dining, activity or sleeping area and then there is s smaller room that has a folding Table Tennis Table. The smaller room can also be used as a sleeping room or as a leader's room. The Centre has 2 bedrooms with bunk beds, one room that can sleep 8 people and another that can sleep 6 people. The Centre features a toilet that is equipped for the disabled. The kitchen is large and fully-equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and a large fridge and freezer.

CARAVAN: This is a basic caravan that can sleep up to 6 people. The caravan has a gas cooker, microwave, oven and a sink with a cold water supply. There is a small dining area and a television.
