White Horse Holiday Park
Located on the banks of the Rive Witham, White Horse Holiday Park has an abundance of shrubs and trees and plenty of space to relax.
White Horse Holiday Park offers a selection of holidays to suit all. They have self-catering caravan hire and a touring park that provides electric, water and drain hook-up. They possess all the necessary facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The park is adjacent to the River Witham and is located in the midst of open fen farmland. It is still within easy reach of Lincoln, Woodhall Spa, Boston and Skegness. The area is one of England's best kept secrets. The site's Inn was initially established as a ferry house to the village of Southrey across the river. It became famous as a fishing centre and as a venue for major fishing competitions. They still have many fishing pegs and there are several fishing lakes in the area.
White Horse Holiday Park is within easy travelling distance of the historic city of Lincoln which features its wonderful Cathedral, cobbled streets, great shopping areas and in December a Christmas market. It is a 4 day event and is the biggest Christmas fair in Britain. They are also situated in the heart of the Second World War RAF bases and Air museums.
Near the site are the famous Battle of Britain flight aircraft, the Red Arrows and the AWAK's at RAF Waddington. Every June Waddington becomes the base for a spectacular Air Show where people travel from all over the country and abroad to take part in and watch.
The Wheatsheaf Inn is run by the whole family and experience seasonal changes from roaring log and coal fires with pleasant low key background music in spring and autumn and pub quizzes, beer festivals, and live acts throughout the summer. It is a traditional free house that serves guest beers and real ales. It has oak beams, open log fires and is steeped in atmosphere and fishing traditions. They serve traditional home cooked foods and offer generous portions.
