Balnoon Camping Site
Balnoon Camping Site is a small, quiet and friendly campsite that is situated in the countryside with stunning views of the adjacent rolling hills. Balnoon is a traditional camp site and has been run by the same family for over 50 years.
This sheltered and level site is about two miles away from the lovely beaches of Carbis Bay and St. Ives. Each beach is patrolled by lifeguards that have an excellent record of safety.
Two miles away is the town of St. Ives, which you can access by road or by a lovely walk through the countryside. Only 6 miles away is Penzance, where you can take day trips to the Isles of Scilly, either by helicopter, aeroplane or sea. The famous St. Michael's Mount is located off-shore at Penzance. There is a fish market and the working Pilchar Museam at nearby Newlyn.
Ten miles along the picturesque north coast road is Lands End. You can make visit with Zennor, which is famous for its Mermaid, Geevor Tin Mine Museum and Levant steam engine.
Art enthusiasts can choose to visit the Tate of the West Art Gallery, located in St. Ives, as well as the contemporary Newlyn Art Gallery. The Penzance Museum and Art Gallery houses the largest collection of Newlyn School paintings and is located just a few minutes away by car.
You can visit the award winning Eden Project, which you might have seen on television, near St. Austell. Another attraction is the Cornwall Discovery Centre at Redruth.
Nearby attractions include public houses, horse riding, climbing, golf courses, tennis, coastal footpaths, swimming, wind surfing, diving, surfing, fishing and much more.
