Bury View Farm Campsite
Bury View Farm Campsite is situated on a large flat field amidst this working farm. You can see the Geese, ducks and hens and enjoy the views over Bury Wood where there is an abundance of wildlife, including deer.
Caravans, motorhomes and tents are catered for here and dogs are welcome. Most pitches have electric hook ups and gas can be purchased if required. Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead.
The facilities at Bury View Farm Campsite include ladies and men's facilities with vanity units, mirrors, shaving points, toilets and showers with plenty of hot water. There are fresh water taps and waste disposal units on site as well as a washing up area.
There is a village shop, a public telephone and a post office in Corston which is 5 minutes by car and the local pub, which serves home cooked, reasonably priced meals, is just a 10 minute walk along a safe pathway away from the road.
If you want to go sightseeing, Cheddar Gorge and Caves are 20 minutes away by car and Bath and Bristol are close by.
Take the car and visit the beautiful city of Bath. The Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge are fine examples of Georgian architecture and the Jane Austin Centre and the Roman Baths give you a glimpse of Bath's fascinating history.
The town's 6 shopping areas are a wealth of independent boutiques and shops, as well as the usual big named stores. Visit the Glass House and you can buy glassware made in Bath. There are glass blowing demonstrations at the Theatre of Glass in Walcot Street and you can try your hand at blowing a glass bubble.
Bristol is a fascinating City and it's crammed with things to see and do. The Clifton Suspension Bridge, Cabot Tower, Bristol Cathedral and the replica of John Cabot's ship, The Matthew are just a few of the places to visit. There's also the Town Centre and the River to explore.
Back on site Bury View Farm is a peaceful countryside getaway where you can enjoy nature at its best.
DIRECTIONS:
5 miles from the City of Bath. Follow A4 Bristol road to the Globe at Newton-St-Loe roundabout. Take A39 Wells and Weston-Super-Mare Road. 400 metres after the Wheatsheaf Pub, on the right hand side.
