Llwyn Celyn Bach Campsite

Llwyn Celyn Bach Campsite is situated 1km above the village of Llanberis and is ideal for walkers, climbers and peace loving people. The site is secluded in the midst of beautiful scenery and wildlife. In Llanberis visitors can find shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes.

The campsite is basic and traditional with no numbered pitches - you just find where you want to pitch. There are showers, toilets and drying facilities but no clubhouse. There is small kitchen area with microwave, fridge and freezer and electric point. Also washing-up for pots and pans etc and a large sink for washing boots or over clothes.

The site has wonderful surrounding views of the Snowdonia range, lake and old quarries. There are many walking and hiking routes nearby, ranging from 10 minutes strolls to all day routes that take you over 4 peaks before you conquer Snowdon itself.

Caernarfon is about 7 miles away and features its famous Castle, one of many that are located in the area. Within a short drive are Portmeirion village, Beddgelert and Harlech.

The site is within an easy distance from all of the tourist attractions. These include narrow gauge trains, electric mountain, slate museum, horse riding, sailing, fishing and golf. Visitors can also take a train up Snowdon. The station is only a short distance away.

There is a lake on the farm that is about 15 minutes away from the camping field. It is a great spot to sit and relax and do some fishing. You can also watch wildlife from this spot. There are buzzards, kestrels, jays, woodpeckers, herons and more. A 10 minute walk away takes you to the Waterfall, which is a spectacular sight after a rain fall.

DIRECTIONS:

To find us you need to come into the LLANBERIS village centre, along the main village high street, find the brown tourist sign for the YHA, turn up onto Capel Coch road and keep on going up and out of the village, we are the next stop up the road after the YHA, about 3/4 of a mile uphill! Please call at the house first.
