Set in beautiful countryside adjacent to the Llangollen Canal and Sandstone Trail, Canal Side Caravan Site is a great place to spend your holiday. You can take a 5 minute walk along the towpath and you will see the famous Grindley Brook staircase locks.

Canal side now has a total of 39 pitches, most being full service pitches in 2 adjacent fields.

The site has 2 separate amenity blocks that provide toilet, shower and washing-up facilities as well as a chemical Elsan disposal point. The site welcomes pets. They can also cater for rallies.

Canal Side Caravan Site offers secure all year round and short term winter caravan storage. Their site is protected with a height barrier that is fitted for extra security. The owners also live on the site.

About a 25 to 30 minute walk from the site is the town of Whitchurch. The local area has many country walks that are appropriate for both enthusiasts and those who enjoy gentle strolls.

The park is located centrally for exploring Shrewsbury, Chester, Wrexham and Oswestry. All of these towns are located within a 20 mile radius of Grindley Brook.

Canal Side Caravan Site is near the Welsh border which makes it easy to explore Llangollen with its famous canal, steam railway and horse shoe pass.

Just 12 miles away is Ellesmere which has stunning meres and a nature reserve. The Brown Moss Nature Reserve is only 5 miles away and will be of interest to those who want to view wild life and rare plant species.

Guests can also visit Hawkstone Follies and Golf Course which can be found within a distance of 12 miles from the site.

Canal Side Caravan Site is within easy reach of Beaston Castle and Bickerton Hills, which both boast lovely Cheshire countryside and views.

Also nearby are a number of fishing pools, tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool and the Hill Valley golf course.

DIRECTIONS

APPROACH FROM WHITCHURCH: From the Whitchurch bypass take the A41 to Chester. In about a mile you will see the Shell garage on the right in the 'S' bends. The campsite is the first cottage on the right after the garage and opposite the Horse and Jockey Public House.

APPROACH FROM CHESTER: Traveling on the A41 from Chester towards Whitchurch you will enter Grindley Brook and a 40 miles per hour limit. Just as you pass the 40 mph signs the site is on your left just before the Shell Garage and opposite the car park for the Horse and Jockey Public House.
