Set in an idyllic location, The Wheatsheaf Inn has panoramic views of the of the best Lakeland fells, Whinlatter, Hobcarton, Hopegill Head, Whiteside and Grassmoor.

The Wheatsheaf Inn has a great place for camping and caravans that provides complete peace and quiet and a back-to-nature feeling. They have space and electric hook-ups for 10 tourer vans.

All are welcome at the campsite but it is especially good for families. The site is spacious so there is no chance of tripping over a neighbour's tent pegs.

There is a shower and toilet block that has hot and cold water as well as drying facilities. They also have a new washing machine and dryer.

The Wheatsheaf is open from March until November. They welcome touring caravans, motor homes and tents.

They offer 4 berth and 6 berth caravan holiday homes for hire.

You will find places in the local area for cycle hire, fishing, sailing, golf and swimming. Just 10 miles away is the highest beach
