The Orchard Campsite

Set in over 8 acres of land on the edge of the Suffolk village of Wickham Market, The Orchard Campsite is a great holiday location. It is near the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Rendlesham Forest which is famous for the alleged UFO sightings about 25 years ago.

The Orchard Campsite offers a friendly, family atmosphere in a quiet, rural setting with a variety of pitches to suit most tastes. The site is open all year round.

Alan Hammond's family has owned The Orchard Campsite for three generations. He first opened the campsite more than 20 years ago under certification from the Camping and Caravan Club.

The Orchard offers a varied selection of camping - from very basic to electric hook-ups and freesat TV and wi-fi.

The park offers pre-erected tents equipped with groundsheet, sleeping bags and sleeping bag inners, lighting and cooking pots and pans. Sleeping bags can be hired.

You can even arrange a stay in our Romany Caravan - we offer a variety of different packages to suit your budget.

Bed and Breakfast is also available, staying in the main house in double en-suite rooms.

The site's popularity has increased rapidly in recent years. Many visitors return several times each year to enjoy the different seasons while at the site.

The Orchard Campsite welcomes families and provides plenty of adventure for those that want to explore. The natural features are an important part of the site but they also have a safe play area within the garden.

At night times the site regularly provides a glow stick scavenge. They throw hundreds of glow sticks into the air and then children can scramble after them. Children can construct lanterns, necklaces, bangles and more. They kids love it and then can be spotted more easily in the dark.
