St Mabyn Holiday Park is located just a short drive from the Cornish Coast. It makes a great base for sightseeing and exploring the area. The local area is one of the sunniest and driest areas of the United Kingdom. You will find some of the sandiest beaches in all of the land. Many of the beaches are ideal for surfing.

The local area is full of history, including picturesque villages, rivers, creeks, unspoiled coastline and famous countryside. South of the site is the lovely Camel Valley and to the north is Bodmin Moor.

Even the most discerning visitor will find attractions to suit them. There are award winning beaches, bathing, water sports, lively resorts, historical sites, nature reserves and shopping centres. St. Mabyn is within easy reach of many museums, galleries, craft shops and specialist restaurants that use fine produce.

Within easy walking distance of St Mabyn Holiday Park is the village of St. Mabyn. They feature a post office and a 17th century inn. The inn is a friendly local establishment that serves real ales and has a great reputation for serving home cooked food. Some of the filming of the '??Doc Martin' series on TV is done at the St. Mabyn Inn.

Just 2½ miles away from St Mabyn Holiday Park is the popular Camel Trail, which is Cornwall's most popular free attraction. It is not a road or a path but is in fact a stretch of converted railway that is ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. It winds its way through some of England's most lovely and relatively unknown coastal scenery and countryside. You will find 11 miles of disused railway beside the River Camel that have been converted from the rail track bed to trail way. They link the towns of Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin. An offshoot of Camel Trail follows the river through North Cornwall's rugged moorland village landscapes and idyllic wooded valleys. It leads towards the quaint market town of Camelford. You will find the hub of the Camel Trail at Wadebridge. From the hub there are two possibilities, one being to head west to follow the trail to Padstow.

This trail goes through some of the loveliest countryside in England. You can see magnificent views out over the Camel estuary, which are complimented with little tributaries that disappear into the heart of the amazing north Cornwall countryside. It also reveals little inland coves and beaches at low tide. Your second option is to head inland eastwardly toward the town of Bodmin. On this trail you will find equally inspirational surroundings and a variety of interesting diversions along the way.

St. Mabyn itself offers guests peace and relaxation in a beautiful setting while providing plenty of on-site activities. Both touring and self-catering holidaymakers can enjoy a day by the swimming pool while they keep an eye on the children in the children's play area.

They will make sure that you have a happy and relaxed holiday while providing everything you need for your stay. You can buy your own holiday home or timber lodge at the site. You can also choose to hire a luxurious self-catering holiday chalet or fully equipped static caravan. They also provide pitches for your motor home, touring caravan or tent.
