Riverside Caravan and Camping Park

Located in a great position on the side of the River Ouse, Riverside Caravan and Camping Park is a small, friendly site.

Bishopthorpe is located just a 5 minute walk away from the site. It is a favourite destination for travellers and race-goers and has been for centuries. The village has grown in recent years but it still retains it old character. There has hardly been any change to the old Main Street with its Post Office, 3 pubs, Co-op and cottages. The village of Bishopthorpe is home to the grand Archbishop's palace. It can be seen from the banks of Riverside Caravan and Camping Park.

Riverside Caravan and Camping Park welcomes touring caravans, trailer tents, motor homes and tents. All of the site's pitches feature electric hook-ups.

The park is a peaceful, family-oriented place and they welcome pets. There are shops nearby where you can get groceries, milk, eggs, newspapers and more.

The site has a café called the Happy Camper. It is a retro airstream caravan café that offers guests great coffee and Yorvale ice cream. They also offer handmade hot and cold sandwiches as well as a variety of pastries, cakes and drinks.

Enjoy a cruise on the Ouse as the skipper of your own craft. Navigate the River all the way to the Linton Locks or Naburn (over 30 miles) or just cruise up to the historic city of York and take in the sites.
