Walton Court Caravan & Camping Site

Walton Court Caravan & Camping Site is a small friendly farm site in lovely countryside not far from Presteigne. It is a working farm with sheep and cattle. As you arrive you will pass the pond which has many wild and colourful birds. There are 2 mute swans that visit, moorhens, wild ducks, a kingfisher, woodpeckers and herons. And in the spring the pool is full of frogs spawn.

Walton Court Caravan & Camping Site welcomes Touring Caravans, Trailer Tents, Motor Homes and Tents. Electric hook-ups are available.  There is a modern toilet block with 2 showers each for ladies and gentlemen, 2 toilets for the ladies, 1 for the men, 2 urinals.  The ladies and gents both have hot water and 2 warm hand dryers and a hair dryer for the ladies.  The toilet block also contains a microwave and a washing machine.

There are 2 fields on the site, a large one for static caravans with plenty of room for tents and caravans should you feel you want to spread your wings, in this field the grass a little longer, it is cut regularly with a topper.

SHEPHERDS HUT

Walton Court Caravan & Camping Site has a Shepherds Hut which has a 4ft fixed bed with storage underneath with duvets and pillows and plenty of extra blankets should you need them.

There is a drop down table and chair and a lovely little pot bellied wood burner for cooler evenings.  The hut is insulated with sheep’s wool insulation making it toasty cosy warm.

Attached to the hut is a canopy for alfresco dining, there is a seating area,  table and a storage cupboard which holds all the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils you may need for your stay with a twin gas hob.

There is a cool box with ice packs and a microwave in the toilet block should you need it.  This is a unique kind of holiday and does not have a lot of the modern trappings of life so slow down and enjoy your stay.

Our shepherds hut is sited under a beautiful old Perry Pear Tree.  The hut has 2 electric plugs for you to charge your mobiles and for an electric light and kettle we do also supply a torch.

The toilet block is a short hop, skip and a jump away.

4-BERTH CARAVAN FOR HIRE

Walton Court Caravan & Camping Site has a 4-berth Caravan for hire. It has two bedrooms - one double and one twin bedded. There is a compact kitchen area fully equipped for your holiday, a toilet and shower room and a lounge area with plenty of seating for relaxing.

Pillows are provided and  bedding (duvets and covers) can be provided at a small additional cost if you don’t have room in the car. There is parking next to the caravan.  Unfortunately pets are not allowed in the caravan.

OUT AND ABOUT

The ancient town of Presteigne stands right on the border - cross the River Lugg and you're in England. With a population of 2,500, it's home to an award-winning museum, an annual music festival and a host of historic buildings.

There are two pubs close by and the site is only 2 miles from the Offa's Dyke Path National Trail.
