Home Farm Caravan and Campsite in Dorset is a small family-run campsite that lies in a village that is mainly stone built and has some thatched cottages. The site is situated in a lovely conservation area in Dorset. The Crown Inn a 16th century thatched pub on the Jurassic Coast is a short walk from the site, serving local ales and locally sourced food.

We accept tents, caravans, mobile homes, camper vans, dive boats and other small boats. Home Farm's pitches are on grass and are either not serviced or semi-serviced with electric hook-up. Home Farm is now able to offer 2 hard standing semi serviced pitches.

Home Farm Caravan and Campsite in Puncknowle have toilets, showers, wash basins, hair dryers, hand dryers, washing-up sinks, bottle gas exchange, a chemical disposal point and parking by your pitch.

PLACES TO EXPLORE

The local area is great for touring and walking. There are scenic views everywhere. The site lies 1 mile from West Bexington with the Chesil Beach, South West Coastal Path and shoreline fishing. Nearby West Bay has a harbour with RIB cruises, water skiing, crab fishing and a tackle shop. There is also a golf course in the local area.

Nearby is the UNESCO World Heritage Coast and the Jurassic Coast which extends from Swanage to Lyme Regis and then on into Devon, which is just over the county border.

Lyme Regis has a famous cobb and harbour. The Lyme Regis Museum has recently been extended and now features fossils collected by May Anning the first woman to collect fossils from the Lyme Regis coast. Guests can enjoy fossil hunting from Charmouth Beach and also from Lyme Regis.

At Weymouth there is a long sandy beach, Punch and Judy, sand sculptures, donkey rides, a RSPB reserve, Sea Life Centre, theatre and much more.

You can visit Dorchester which is an old Roman town that has an excellent museum with many Roman artefacts.  The town also has a Henge and Maiden Castle (Iron Age Fort).

Tolpuddle houses the Tolpuddle Martyrs Village and Museum - the first ever Trade Unionists.

Abbotsbury has its famous swannery, sub-tropical gardens and animal farm where you can take pony rides.

Burton Bradstock with its cliffs and well know café is nearby.

Places within a day trip journey are Swanage with its nice beach and Steam Railway to Corfe Castle. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are on the Purbeck Peninsula are also worth a visit.

Guests can also travel to Bridport and enjoy the street market every Wednesday and Saturday.

Portland Bill attracts migrating birds and has a sailing academy.

The Fleet Lagoon has birds, fish, plants and a glass bottom boat adventure to experience.

Dorset has lots of large old houses, castles and gardens to visit.

ROUTE FOR CAMPERS

From Dorchester on A35 towards Bridport, turn left at start of dual carriageway, at bottom of hill turn right to Litton Cheney. Through the village, continue for 1 mile, turn left onto Hazel Lane to the T-Junction at the top of the road, turn left down along Swyre Road then left at phone box. Site is 150 metres on right.

ROUTE FOR CARAVANS

Drive from Dorchester, along A35 to Bridport. At first roundabout turn left down Sea Road South. At the next roundabout turn left to Burton Bradstock on the B3157, continue to Swyre. At the bottom of the hill just after the 30 mph sign, turn left through Swyre continue to Puncknowle. Turn left at phone box into Rectory Lane, the site is 150 metres on the right
