Lowtrow Cross Caravan & Camping Park

Adults Only

A warm welcome awaits you at Lowtrow Cross Caravan & Camping Park. Our park is a small, quiet, ADULTS ONLY site set in a secluded area with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Well behaved dogs are welcome and there is no charge for them.

We welcome caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents. We have two, 4 berth well equipped static holiday caravans for hire. Unlike many larger sites the caravans are well spaced apart, surrounded by trees and shrubs with pleasant views over the site.

We pride ourselves in our personal, friendly service and the cleanliness of the site. Our aim is to keep everything as natural as possible while still offering the essential facilities that will ensure your visit with us is a pleasurable one.

Adjacent to Lowtrow Cross Caravan & Camping Park is a traditional Exmoor Inn serving home cooked food and local real ales. The inn welcomes campers and their well behaved dogs.

Set on the edge of the Exmoor National Park - one of Britain's hidden treasures. With stunning landscapes, wilderness and tranquillity and a glimpse of wild red deer or the native Exmoor Pony, are just some of the delights that make this area special.

The area which is teeming with wild life is perfect for walking, fishing, cycling and riding. Lowtrow Cross makes an excellent base for visiting the many varied local attractions.

These include, Dunster with it's medieval castle, Tarr Steps (one of the oldest clapper bridges in the country) Dunkery Beacon the highest point on Exmoor, Porlock, Minehead and The West Somerset Steam Railway.

Haddon hill a piece of heathland with it's own herd of Exmoor ponies overlooks Wimbleball Lake, offers wonderful uncrowded walking and is only a 5minute drive away or a 20 minute walk through St John's Wood, where, if you go quietly you will see some of the red or roe deer that frequent the area.

The easily reached summit affords superb all round views, while the more energetic may wish to take the pretty walk around the Lake.

Fly fishing is available at both Wimbleball Lake and Clatworthy Reservoir, both just 10 minutes drive away and we have freezer facilities for your catch.

There is good off road cycling in the surrounding area, while riders are catered for by stables with direct access onto the moor.
