One of the most beautiful and peaceful holiday locations in the country, Gairloch Holiday Park is a great place to spend your next holiday. The park is surrounded by excellent views of loch and mountain and feature great hill walking and climbing on its doorstep.
Gairloch Holiday Park is a family-run park that is situated beside the sea at Strath which is the main crafting township in the historical parish of Gairloch. The park has an open outlook across the loch towards the Torridon Mountains and the Isle of Skye. Gairloch Holiday Park is ideally situated as a touring centre for Wester Ross. It is also located within 6 miles of the world famous Inverewe Gardens.
The park has all of the usual facilities that you would expect such as tourist information, a modern heated shower block, a chemical disposal area, electric serviced pitches, a dish washing area and a coin operated laundry with driers. They have a modern reception area that features information on walks and places of interest. The site also has resident wardens that oversee the site.
The site's pitches are on grass or hard standing. The pitches are roomy and freely available. They advise advance booking during peak periods.
The village of Gairloch is within easy walking distance from the park and features a wide array of amenities including a quality butcher, grocery and provisions, lounge bars, hotels and restaurants, a post office, fish and chip shops, hardware, craft shops, vehicle servicing and fuel stations, tourist information, a medical centre, internet access and the golden sands of Gairloch.
DIRECTIONS: From Inverness take the A832 heading west over the Kessock Bridge towards Ullapool. Once through Garve, turn left and continue on the A832, through Achnasheen and Kinlochewe. On reaching Gairloch, pass the harbour and golf course on your left. Continue to the junction and turn left onto the B802, signed Melvaig. Continue for half a mile and turn right into Mihol Road, just after the Millcroft Hotel. The site entrance is on the right.
