Hillhead Caravan Park is a great base for touring. The site features 37 touring pitches with electric hook-ups and 18 hard standing all pitches. 5 acres of mainly level grass comprise the ten field. The field backs on to Hallforest Forest where you can see much wildlife such as red squirrels and roe deer.

The site features a central outdoor children's play area, a reception and a large Caravan Accessories shop which features a pay phone. The toilet block includes integrated facilities for the disabled, a laundrette and indoor campers' washing-up area. There is a charge for the laundrette facility but hot water is free.

Attractions nearby include the Castle Trail which features the fairytale castle Craigievar and the great historic houses like Haddo House where Prince Edward often performs in productions.

The malt whiskey trail leads you to Grampian Higlands which features rugged landscapes. Close by are Royal Deeside and the Queen's Scottish residence at Balmoral.

Fisherman can enjoy the Don and Dee rivers while golfers can choose from 25 golf courses all within a half an hour's drive.

The nearby coast features a wonderful cliff-top view and beautiful beaches. Other attractions include the quaint fishing villages of Gardenstown and Pennan, Slains Castle, the lighthouse museum at Fraserburgh, Cruden Bay, and Balmedie.

Inverurie is a great shopping centre, small and friendly with plenty of parking spaces. Aberdeen features theatres, restaurants, museums, parks, nightclubs and a great range of shops.
