Strathlachlan Caravan Park is beautifully situated on the east shore of Loch Fyne in Argyll, just outside the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Only one and a half hour's drive from Glasgow, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your luxury holiday home.
Established in 1968, Strathlachlan Caravan Park is owned and run by the MacLachlan family and is sited on their estate, home to the MacLachlan clan since they arrived in Scotland from Ireland over one thousand years ago.
Strathlachlan is set amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery on Scotland's west coast, in a region packed with magnificent castles, gardens and beaches. It is within easy access of excellent sea and freshwater fishing, hill walking, sailing, diving and golf as well as the towns of Dunoon, Inveraray, Tighnabruaich and the Island of Bute.
Within easy walking distance just along the shore, you'll find Inver Cottage Restaurant, which offers excellent home-cooking using locally-sourced produce. Open all day in the summer for coffee, tea, home baking and light lunches, the restaurant also features a delicious dinner menu served in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere overlooking Loch Fyne. Newspapers, groceries and fuel can be found in the village of Strachur, which is a scenic six-miles drive away.
The park is on the east side of Loch Fyne on the B8000, about 6 miles south of Strachur and close to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Strathlachlan itself is a quiet backwater but is within easy reach of Inveraray, Bute, Loch Lomond and Dunoon. The drive down the lochside to Tighnabruaich must be one of the most beautiful in Scotland.
