Kielder Caravanning & Camping Site

If you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then Kielder Caravan & Camping Site is your answer. Keilder is set in the heart of Britain's largest forest and is the most remote village in England, just 3 miles from the Scottish border.

The camp site is in a beautiful setting by a river and is clean and tidy with basic facilities. Fresh water is supplied straight off the hill and is cool and plentiful. There is a small shop to provide basic grocery needs.

There are 20 hard stands with electric hook ups for caravans, motorhomes, campers and trailer tents. The tent field has room for over 40 tents. Also available are two 'two bed' static caravans and four pods. (The pods can sleep up to four people). 

We are at the northern tip of Kielder Water.  An ideal base for cycling, mountain biking, walking and the opportunity to view our elusive wildlife.

Situated just outside Kielder Village with direct access to all of the mountain bike trails and forest walks. Kielder Castle with the Minotaur Maze are nearby. It has a local pub with restaurant. The Castle hosts a licensed Tea Room.

There are numerous walks and cycle trails. Visit the Castle Visitor Centre, Kielder Salmon Hatchery, Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre, Brigantium, The Heritage Centre in Bellingham, Otterburn Mill.

DIRECTIONS: From A1 Newcastle, take A69 to Hexham. After the Hexham roundabout take A6079 North to Wall and Bellingham. After Wall turn Left on B6318 at Brunton. At Chollerford take B6320 to Bellingham. After crossing the River Tyne at Bellingham turn Left onto C200 for Lanehead, turn Left for Kielder. Continue past Kielder Water to Kielder Village. Drive through edge of village past the Station Garage on your Left. Kielder Campsite is clearly signed on your Right after 500 yards.
