Tanglewood Caravan Park

Located on the fringes of the Lake District National Park, Tanglewood Caravan Park is a friendly, family-run park that is ideal for those relaxing, laid back holidays. It is a quiet and friendly site that is set in lovely surroundings so that guests can look forward to wonderful summer's day walks.

Tanglewood's Large Modern holiday homes are 32'x12'. planned for spacious living and fully equipped for premium comfort. The holiday homes comprise large end bedrooms, electric lighting, H&C water, toilet, shower, gas fire, cooker, microwave oven, fridge, colour TV, and panel heaters in the bathroom and bedrooms. All gas and electric is inclusive in the booking price. The holiday homes are available from the beginning of March to the end of January with car parking beside each home.

The park has a fully licensed bar with a warm friendly, family atmosphere with occasional entertainment.

Tanglewood Caravan Park currently has 58 static caravans on site - 9 of which are for hire, the park is licensed to hold 83.  There are also 21 pitches for touring caravans all with electric hook ups and water/drainage facilities. There are 10 pitches for tents for all you campers out there.  Facilities include clean showers and toilets with under floor heating and chemical toilet disposal facilities. There is also a fully equipped laundry.

Tanglewood Caravan Park has been established for over 30 years. They pride themselves on the high quality of service that they provide their guests. Tanglewood is a pet friendly site that welcomes you to bring along your furry friends free of charge because they deserve a holiday too. The site asks that you keep your dogs on a lead when they are out on the site though.

OUT AND ABOUT

The park is surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside. There is something for both the energetic and the relaxed holidaymaker at the site. You can enjoy long hikes or cycling or you can just choose to take in the lovely surroundings while having a quiet picnic in the sunshine.

If you fancy a drive out the park is only a short drive away from the Lake District or maybe you fancy a day out to the very famous Gretna Green. These are just a couple of the many places to visit around and about.

Tanglewood Caravan Park is also just a mile and a half away from Silloth.  Silloth has an extensive sandy beach with fishing, swimming, golf-course etc. available for the holidaymaker. Silloth has many events happening in the summer months for eg. Silloth Carnival Day and the famous Beer Festival.  Silloth also has a Market Day on Thursdays and at the weekends.
