Allensford Caravan Park

Allensford Caravan Park is a beautiful campsite in County Durham adjacent to the River Derwent.

The 2-acre site consists of a large field surrounded by deciduous trees adjacent to a little stream. The actual site is level with mature trees, in hilly moor and woodland country. Several woodland walks start from the park and there is a Tourist Information Centre.

Up to 50 statics surround the perimeter of the site with 40 touring pitches for tents and caravans placed in lines in the middle. There is plenty of room between the pitches.

Allensford Caravan Park is adjacent to the well equipped municipal park with high slides and zip wire. This is a popular location for many local caravanners, who travel only a few miles to get to the site and stay at the weekends.

Allensford Caravan Park is the ideal base to explore this lovely part of the country. Within 30 minutes you can be in Durham or the Metrocentre. The Durham Dales and North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are home to breathtaking scenery and are waiting to be explored. The dramatic Durham Heritage Coast is well worth a visit and the Vale of Durham has many award-winning attractions and activities.
