Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges

Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges consists of a superb range of holiday lodges set in secluded woodland on the edge of the spectacular Bassenthwaite Lake, recently designated a National Nature Reserve.

Our centrally heated and double glazed lodges offer every comfort and modern convenience, from their extensively equipped kitchens to colour televisions and cd players. Bedrooms include warm duvets, crisp linen and soft towels and beds are made up for your arrival. Each lodge has french doors leading to a private timber patio complete with gas barbecue to help you make the most of those idyllic summer evenings.

Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges are located six miles north of Keswick 1.4 miles down a country lane off the A591. The Park is situated on the north east shore of Bassenthwaite Lake at the foot of the dramatic Skiddaw Mountain. The Park is elevated with holiday homes nestling in a Woodland setting. Our reception is situated at the lower level of the Park overlooking the Lake. Parking is in front of the reception. The entrance door into reception and emergency exit have a 3” inch threshold. All doors are 3’ wide.

Our accommodation consists of two bedroom and three bedroom lodges. Due to the elevation of the Park all access to our lodges are via three to five steps. All entrance doors are 3’wide and interior doors 2’6” wide so access to bedrooms and bathrooms would be difficult for a standard wheelchair.

All lodges are provided with:

• Colour TV, video player and CD player

• Lakeside Lodges have TV/DVD players - we do not supply DVD's

• Kitchen including microwave

• Fridge/Freezer - (except Parkland Lodge)

• Bath and/or shower

• Bed linen, duvets and towels

• Beds are made up for your arrival

• French doors to timber patio with gas barbecue

• Gas central heating (Parkland has electric heaters)

• Highchairs and cots £12pw each

• Gas and electricity by meter reading

• All-male, all-female, or young mixed groups please check when booking.

• Pets £30pw each in specific Parkland, Woodland and Lakeside Lodge

At  Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges you can enjoy boating, sailing, windsurfing and fishing on the lake. April1-Oct 31 (please bring your own equipment). In addition there are books, games and a video lending library. Outside, is our children's playground.

Please bring your own DVD's for Lakeside Lodges.

For the more energetic, equestrian, cycling, tennis and golf facilities are nearby and of course for walkers, the mountains, fells and lakes are waiting to be explored.

Our area boasts picturesque towns and villages, beautiful rolling countryside, stunning lake and mountain scenery, historic houses, churches, mills, mines and museums and many animal attractions suitable for families with children.
