Seacote Caravan Park

Located in an enchanting location on the West Cumbrian coast, Seacote Caravan Park is sheltered by the lovely headlands. The park is located near to the sandy, mile-long beach where Wainwright began his famous Coast to Coast Walk. It is located in a picturesque village that is just 6 miles from the stunning Lake District National Park.

You can either bring your own tent, tourer or motor home or you can hire one of the site's plush and fully-equipped holiday caravans. The park has a great location and outstanding facilities that will create the perfect environment for an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Seacote Caravan Park features well equipped wash and laundry facilities. They have hot showers, basins, hair dryers and baby changing facilities, an automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. Adjacent to the park is a shop that sells all your essential groceries as well as gift and souvenirs.

The park offers tourer and motor home pitches on hard standing that have no awnings or on hard standing that features a grassy area for awnings. Each of the pitches has water and 10 amp electric hook-ups included in the price as well as an awning.

Much of the Park is sheltered by the gigantic rocky outcrop of St Bees Head. This towering headland provides many forms of recreation, whether you choose to explore the rocks and pools around its base or take the cliff top path and enjoy its dramatic views out to sea and inland towards the Lakeland fells.

Other opportunities for walking are also provided by the beach itself and the path alongside the village's 9-hole links golf course. Dedicated walkers will enjoy more challenging routes over the cliffs to Fleswick Bay and ultimately to the beautiful, historic port of Whitehaven, four miles to the north. Really ambitious walkers will know that St Bees Beach marks the beginning of Alfred Wainwright's now world-famous Coast to Coast Walk, 190 miles from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire.

DIRECTIONS:

Leave the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 west for approximately 35 mile.  Take the A595 towards WHITEHAVEN.  Keep on the A595, by-passing the town center. Go through two sets of traffic lights to a roundabout which you go straight over. Then take the second right - sign posted for ST BEES.  At the T-Junction at the top of the hill turn left onto the B5345 towards ST BEES.  Follow the signs to the beach.
