Manor House Farm is a working farm, predominantly sheep and horses. Because the site was developed from mature woodland, there is an abundance of wildlife both on the site and on the river banks.

The River Nidd is only a short walk away near stepping stones across the river, giving access to public footpaths and the Nidderdale Way, 15 minutes walk will take you to the nearest local pub, the Wellington Inn, Darley and Royal Oak, Dacre is nearby. Both have a reputation for good food. The stepping stones on the Nidd give a wonderful play area for children, upstream being slow moving and shallow, ideal for dinghies and generally messing about on the river.

The site is in a good walking area. Many local attractions are close by including Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Stump Cross Caverns.

• Nidderdale Museum: A truly fascinating collection of exhibits is displayed in the original Victorian workhouse, beautifully illustrating the life and history of our Dalesfolk.

• Ripley Castle is Yorkshire's Best Small Visitor Attraction of the Year. It has belonged to the Ingilby family for over 700 years and they are believed to be one of the oldest families in the country to still live in the same residence.

• Stump Cross Caverns is one of Britain's premier show caves, located in Nidderdale on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are a range of facilities for a great family day out.
