Rhos Caravan Park
Near award winning beaches and featuring panoramic views over the surrounding farmland towards the Snowdonia Mountains, Rhos Caravan Park provides spacious accommodations for tents, motor homes and caravans in a countryside setting.
The park offers several separate tourer and camping fields. Each pitch is level and on well-maintained grass. There are choices of pitches with open views or those with a more sheltered hedge of stone wall. All tourer pitches have 10 amp electric hook-up points and some tent pitches have 5 amp electric hook-ups.
There are water taps in fields by the toilet blocks. There is cold water for drinking and all hot water is free of charge. The laundrette features one washing machine, a tumble dryer, washing-up sinks and an ice pack freezer.
Rhos Caravan Park features two toilet blocks. The first one has showers, free shaver and hair dryer sockets and a washing-up area. Near it there is a dustbin, a chemical disposal point and a grey water dump grid.
The second toilet block has showers and free shaver and hair dryer sockets. There is a second laundrette that has a washing machine, tumble dryer and washing up sinks. There are dustbins and a chemical disposal point near this toilet block as well. Solar energy provides 50-70 % of the hot water for this block.
Rhos Caravan Park has 2 children's play grounds. One is designed for those under 10 years old and another is designed for older children. There is plenty of room on the site for cycling, kite flying and ball games. There is a 4 acre dog walking field on-site.
Rhos Caravan Park's reception is well-stocked with information leaflets. They even have some that detail where to source locally produced fruit, vegetables, fish and meat. There are also leaflets that provide the times of the tides and weather forecasts.
Nearby Red Wharf Bay has a good selection of grocery and gift shops. The nearest place to get milk and newspapers is Pentraeth.
In Anglesey visitors can enjoy miles of sandy beaches. Benllech and Llanddona have been awarded the coveted "Blue Flagâ?. They also have country walks, varied wildlife, sea and freshwater fishing, ancient historical monuments, golf courses, horse riding, boating facilities and friendly pubs and restaurants.
Rhos Caravan Park is a quiet site that is family friendly and dog friendly. It allows plenty of open space that creates a relaxed atmosphere. In order to get in during holiday periods it is necessary to reserve your place in advance with a deposit. During low season a phone call or e-mail will be enough. The site always tries to accommodate the casual tourer but just don't show up for a bank holiday. Though the camping fields are large the site limits the number of tourers for everybody's comfort.
