Barcdy Caravan and Camping Park

Near Harlech in North Wales, Barcdy Caravan and Camping Park is a park situated between the mountains and the sea. Conveniently located in the Snowdonia National Park, Barcdy is a small and friendly family-run establishment that caters to touring caravans and tents.

The site has 40 all-weather fully-serviced pitches for touring caravans. There are 40 grass pitches for tents; a few have electric hook-up points. The pitches are spread over a large area extending approximately 12 acres. They are spaciously arranged so visitors will never have to feel overcrowded.

Barcdy Caravan and Camping Park offers seasonal touring pitches for those who enjoy a touring caravan holiday without having to deal with the hassle of towing the caravan around. You can also choose to purchase your own permanent on-site holiday home. Call the park for details about this option.

The park’s facilities include free hot showers, launderette and an indoor washing-up area. There is Wi-Fi coverage over the entire park.

Barcdy Caravan and Camping Park lies in a secluded and sheltered vale. Wooded hills tumble down to its rear and there are wide open views to the front across the Dwyrd estuary all the way towards the Italianate village of Portmeirion.

There is an additional 28 acres of open field and natural oak woodland on the grounds. There you can see badgers, owls and migratory birds. There is plenty of room for walking in leisure in the peace and quiet of the landscape. Many children have spent their holidays happily playing in the park’s natural environment.

In the Snowdonia National Park area in which Barcdy sits Welsh is still very much the first language of its residents. The people are sincere and down to earth. You can expect a warm welcome in this area of Cymru in Wales.

There are many attractions in the area, so many you will want to return again and again. This includes many historic monuments that are just a short drive away, including Harlech Castle and many more.
