Clifford Park

Situated in the countryside yet near the sea and places of great historical interest, Clifford Park is a quiet and private holiday park. Their accommodation consists of 150 caravan holiday homes and 14 mixed pitches for touring caravans and tents.

There is no clubhouse or shop on Clifford Park but these facilities are available in the village of Walmer which is just a few minutes' walk away. Facilities on the park include shower and washing facilities, a public telephone, gas cylinder replacement and off street parking.

In the local area guests can go deep sea fishing, pier and beach fishing, golfing, sailing and horse riding. The towns of Dover and Canterbury are only a short distance away and are great to visit.

Nearby Walmer Castle was one of a line of coastal forts built by Henry VIII as protection against feared invasions. It is the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. The castle is a top visitor attraction because of its superb gardens, tea and gift shops and the special events it hosts through the year.

The village of Walmer is situated 1 meal from Deal, about 4 miles from Dover, 14 miles from Canterbury and 15 miles from Folkestone. It is within easy reach of motorways to London about 60 miles away. Walmer is also serviced by a train service from London. The station is about a 10 minutes' walk from the park. Within easy reach by car are Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. There are frequent ferry services that link Dover with France and the Continent.
