Great Birchwood Campsite & Fisheries
Great Birchwood Campsite & Fisheries is set in a secluded 24 acres of beautiful countryside with easy access to the quaint town of Lytham-St-Annes. The park is open all year and is in a great location for visiting Blackpool, Preston and the Lake District.
The site is designed principally for caravans and mobile homes, with "pitches" having both hard standing and a grassed area for awnings, although tents are also catered for. Mains, 240 volt, hook-ups are provided on 55 of the pitches.
Also, situated within the grounds of Great Birchwood Campsite & Fisheries is the famous venue of Fort San Antone, which is the biggest country music venue in Europe.
An excellent array of food is available ranging from a burger to the best steaks this side of Texas all cooked over the coals. Fort San Antone is open every Friday & Saturday night and all day Sunday, with a fantastic carvery available.
For all of you keen Ramblers, the Fylde Coast has some of the best coastal walks in England, such as the walk along the estuary which is across the way from Great Birchwood. The nearest bus stop is directly outside the gates of Great Birchwood,with buses every 30 minutes.
From the Fylde Coast to the Lancashire hills and peaks of the lake District National Park. All within about an hours drive or so you can experience the finest British countryside in all it's seasonal splendour.
Great Birchwood Campsite & Fisheries is an ideal base for exploring the spectatular scenery. From natural beauty to historical and industrial sites of interest there is so much to do and see.
DIRECTIONS
From the M6,take Jct 31 & follow the A5083 which becomes the A583 to Blackpool.After leaving Preston,take the A584 to your left(just after Hallmark Cars)towards Warton & Lytham.The site is situated in the village of Warton,about a mile past the Clifton Amrs,on the right hand side of the road.
From the M55, take Jct 3 & head towards Kirkham. Follow the A585 to the A583 roundabout & carry straight on into the village of Wrea Green.At the village green,turn left at the roundabout.When you come to the traffic lights in Warton,turn right.We are about a Mile on the right hand side of the road.
