The park is large and grassy. It is set just over a mile from Braunton village and is under 2 miles from Saunton beach. This beach features a 3 mile stretch of golden sand that does not suffer for overcrowding. Lobb Fields is south facing and features panoramic views of Braunton Burrows to the Taw estuary and across the Torridge towards Bideford and Appledore.
Just 2 miles west of Braunton are the Braunton Burrows which is the largest area of sand dunes in England. It is now Britain's first world class biosphere reserve. It is a perfect for loves of wildlife. They also feature a lot of very rare flora and fauna. Just a mile away from the site is the championship 18 hole golf course at Saunton.
