Wing Hall Camping and Caravan Site is located amidst beautiful countryside in England's smallest county, Rutland, between the charming traditional market towns of Oakham and Uppingham and perfect for Rutland Water.

Completed in 1891, Wing Hall was - and is - a beautiful family home and now additionally welcomes visitors with a Campsite and Farm Shop & Delicatessen serving quality local food. The Veranda Cafe-Bar overlooks the lawn and gardens and offers homemade treats.

Wing Hall Camping and Caravan Site welcomes Touring Caravans, Motorhomes, Trailer Tents, Campervans and Tents. There are electric hook-up pitches subject to availability. The campsite is open until 1st October and on-line booking is required from their website (link below).

The aim is to offer friendly and traditional camping and although the facilities are basic they include lavatories, 8 new showers, washing-up sinks, hairdryer/shaving sockets and communal fridge and freezer.

The area around Wing Hall Camping and Caravan Site is a beautiful place to visit, explore and relax. Rutland consists of 2 market towns, Oakham and Uppingham, and more than forty picturesque villages of thatched, stone-built cottages.

Oakham is the county town and is well known for its market and its wonderful variety of individual shops, antique shops and galleries. The market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday in the Market Place. There is a wide variety of stalls selling fruit & vegetables, fish and cheeses, bread, and a range of other goods.

Rutland Water one of the largest man-made lakes in Europe and has something for everyone. The reservoir is set in 3,100 acres of countryside. It has an international reputation for providing a wonderful peaceful environment while still providing plenty of things to do for visitors.

It has a great balance of sport, leisure and wildlife conservation and offers everyone the opportunity to try something different; walking, cycling along the 25 mile circular track, sailing, windsurfing, fishing, rock climbing, canoeing, golf, a nature reserve and bird sanctuary.
