Castle Point Caravan Park is small site that is located 300 yards from the sea and is within short walking distance to 3 sandy beaches. This Dumfries & Galloway site has some of the best views in South West Scotland. They welcome touring caravans and campers and those that wish to hire one of the site's holiday homes.

The campsite is built near the site of an ancient fort that was built on a headland at the estuary of the River Urr. As well as the beaches you can enjoy lovely walks over the cliffs, along the Merse to Rockcliffe, along the Jubilee Path to Kippford. If the tide is out it is possible to walk from the site across to the bird sanctuary of Rough Island. For cyclists we are close to the 7Stanes cycle track. Cycles can be hired nearby. For those interested in sailing the site is close to the sailing centre of Kippford.

Locally you can enjoy pony trekking, mountain biking, forest walking, fishing, tennis and sailing. Kippford is a popular sailing centre. There are 2 activity centres a short journey away that have archery, paint balling and much more. There are several 9 and 18 hole golf courses nearby, the closest being Colvend. Hill walkers will enjoy Screel, Bengairn, Cairnsmore of Fleet, Criffel, Merrick and Mulwharcher. There are several nature trails.

CARAVAN HIRE

The caravans for hire are of top quality. Each has colour TV, DVD, microwave, electric power and light, refrigerator, gas cooker, hot water, toilet, shower and well-equipped kitchens. All bedding is supplied except for sheets. Each of the caravans can accommodate up to 6 people. The caravans have a double bedrooms and a room with 2 single beds. Their dining area has an additional double bed when needed. The price includes gas and electricity.

Pets are allowed in some of the hire caravans.

The park advises that you book in advance.

TOURING CARAVANS AND TENTS

There are electric hook-up points available on all of the pitches. The park advises that you book in advance during high season.
