Poplar Farm Caravan Park

Poplar Farm Caravan Park is  family-run and nestles on the banks of the River Ouse, just 4 miles downstream from the historic city of York.

Touring caravans, motor homes, and tents are welcome on Poplar Farm Caravan Park, which is open from March to November. There are also static caravan pitches and holiday caravans for hire.

There are 50 touring pitches, 25 tent pitches and 10 hard standing pitches for motor homes, all with electric hook=ups. Separate paddocks are available to accommodate small educational parties.

A selection of new and pre-owned static caravans are offered for sale, with prices ranging from £8,000 to £30,000.

Part of Poplar Farm Caravan Park has a beautiful river frontage with boat moorings for small craft and fishing pegs for guests to use. At the corner of the park is the Ship Inn public house, serving good beer and good food. The Ship has a cosy interior with open fires in the colder months, and a large beer garden with views across the river for when the weather is warmer.

A local bus service connects Poplar Farm Caravan Park with the surrounding villages, and runs into the centre of York.

Poplar Farm Caravan Park is 3 miles from one of the finest parkland Golf courses in the North of England, and only 2.5 miles from the Knavesmire, York's prestigious racecourse.

York is famous for its historic Minster, but a visit to this beautiful city will offer something for everyone.

From the world famous Railway Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre, to Betty's Tea Room and the river boat trips, you will find plenty to fill your time.

York is also excellent for shopping, with all of the big high street names intermingled with tiny curio shops catering for all tastes.
