Dove Meadows Camping & Touring Site

Dove Meadows Camping & Touring Site is quiet and secluded and is situated on the edge of the ancient chartered town of Marazion and only four minutes walk from the idyllic Mounts Bay, home to the legendary St Michael's Mount.

The site itself is gently sloping with a number of pitches enjoying views of the bay. Touring caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents are welcome. Facilities include: Electric hook-up, Showers, Toilets, Drinking Water and Chemical waste disposal points.

Mounts Bay is renowned for its safe bathing and our visitors often enjoy days at the blue flagged beach whilst escaping any parking fees! Similarly in the evening many of our visitors take a stroll along the sea front to Marazion. Here it is possible to relax in one of the local pubs or dine at a restaurant, explore the many vibrant art galleries or simply absorb the friendly atmosphere.

Marazion has a number of convenience stores however for larger shopping requirements Penzance high street is only 3 miles away with the nearest supermarket 1.5 miles. There is a regular bus service from Marazion to Penzance with the local stop situated approx 150 meters from Dove Meadows. Open-top buses tour the peninsula coastline during the summer.

Land's End, Britain's most westerly mainland point, is only 12 miles by road from Marazion and the Lizard peninsula is also nearby. At St Just, take a hike up to Cape Cornwall, Britain's only cape.

Spend a day exploring the local towns and villages such as St Ives (home to Tate St Ives), St Just, Sennen, Porthcurno, Lamorna, Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance. To the east, why not visit Porthleven or Helston. Truro is a 25 mile trip and Falmouth with its National Maritime Museum is close by too.

DIRECTIONS

Turn off A30 (Hayle & Penzance) at signpost Marazion. Turn left at railway bridge. After about 0.5 mile turn first left at "parking sign", left at junction. Continue for approximately 250 yards to Dove Meadows Camping & Touring Site.
