Kennexstone Camping & Touring Park

Kennexstone Camping and Touring Park is set in the heart of the lovely Gower Peninsula in South Wales. They are the number one farm campsite for the more discerning visitor. The park is ideally situated amongst a working organic farm environment. The touring park benefits from the owner's real love and drive for returning a varied wildlife back into the countryside.

The site is within easy driving distance of over 20 glorious local beaches. There are a number of walking routes suitable for all ages and experience leading directly from the camping grounds. There is an abundance of wildlife to see in the area. Kennexstone Farm Camping and Touring Park is a great base for exploring the rich diversity that the Gower Peninsula has to offer.

There is a wide range of sporting and countryside activities to enjoy in the area such as surfing, golf, pony trekking, archery, rock climbing, mountain boarding, Geocaching and excellent shore and boat fishing. Guests can even go hang gliding and para gliding at the nearby Rhossili Downs.

The Gower Peninsula has some of the most beautiful views in the whole of the UK and contains a comprehensive and diverse set of wildlife habitats. Kennexstone Farm camping site makes an excellent base for exploring the wonderful peninsula.

The farm is situated on the north west corner of the Gower Peninsula which was Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Within 2 miles of the site there are several different beaches, one of which has some of the best surfing in Wales and another which borders a National Trust Nature Reserve.

The local area is perfect for those who are looking to get away from it all. There are pleasant walks, excellent scenery and 6 country pubs and hotels within 3 miles which all serve meals.

They have a lot of ideas for future developments on the park but there are very stringent planning rules that apply on the peninsula so they have to be very careful that any development is not detrimental to the surrounding countryside. They are constantly discussing ways in which to achieve this with the local planning authority.

They have tried to run their farm in a manner that encourages the natural diversity of the area of the years. They are very proud of the number of different plant, animal, bird and insect species now resident on the farm.

Visitors of the park tell the owners that they appreciate the non-commercial atmosphere of the park and that they stay at the park for that reason. There is a good number of guests that have been returning regularly for over 25 years.

DIRECTIONS: Exit M4 motorway at junction 47 (services), at flyover take 2nd exit A483 (dual carriageway) at next roundabout, turn right onto A484. Through next roundabout, at second roundabout, turn left onto B4296. After approx 1/2 mile (at first traffic lights), turn right onto B4295. Follow road for approx 10 miles, until you pass through the village of Burry Green. After 3/4 mile, turn right at the first road juction (camping park sign on junction) entrance is 200 metres on left.
