Bryncoch Farm Campsite
Set on the edge of the Black Mountains within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Bryncoch Farm Campsite is both peaceful and tranquil.
The centrepiece of the campsite is a well stocked fishing lake, with a variety of fish species including Carp. All of the campsite pitches are flat, and positioned around the outside of the lake.
The slow pace of life on Bryncoch Farm Campsite makes it the perfect place to take a well earned break, whether it be fishing or simply relaxing and watching the world go by. For the more energetic, the Farm provides a great base for walking, hill running or Cycling.
Bryncoch Farm was bought by the Richardson family some 40 years ago, and until about 10 years ago remained as a fully working farm. With the difficulties in farming over the last few years, the family was keen to diversify, and given the location and natural surroundings the obvious solution was to branch into tourism and leisure.
The owner of Bryncoch Farm Campsite, Trevor Richardson, chose a flat paddock as the perfect place to develop the new venture and set about preparing the 3 acre piece of land. Keen to encourage all sorts of wildlife to the site, he also decided to create his own lake, using the stream that had ran through the centre of the paddock.
The campsite has now matured beautifully, with lots of natural diversity. Trees and plants surround the site, ducks and geese call the lake home, and the lake itself has been stocked with various species of fish.
LOG CAMPING PODS
Log Pods are timber camping pods. Double insulated, they are as warm in the winter as they are cool in summer. They can sleep a family of four in comfort. A futon sofa/bed comes as standard for mum and dad, whilst the kids have a bunk bed. If you have more than 4 kids then don't worry, just bring an extra air bed to enjoy the Camping Pod.
There is light and power, so there's no need to miss your favourite soaps, because the Camping Pods contain a TV/DVD/Freeview. Probably our favourite feature is a large porch area where you can sit back, relax, and watch the world go by!
