Thorney Lakes cover an area of approx 4 acres and are well stocked with a selection of course fishing including large carp.

It is the perfect base for touring the Somerset Levels and Moors, one of the most unchanged and distinctive landscapes of lowland Britain.

There are many interesting walks and cycle rides in the area with opportunities to explore stunning coastland scenery and protected wetland habitats. The birdwatching is some of the best in the UK.

The pretty and distinctive towns and villages are steeped in history and offer the chance for some self indulgence in specialist shops and excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants.

DIRECTIONS

From the A303 to Thorney lakes. Turn off the A303 Ilchester - Ilminster signposted Martock, Ash Kingsbury Episcopi. Follow signs to Kingsbury Episcopi, at the T junction in the village turn right signposted Muchelney. Through the village of Thorney over 2 bridges and we are on the right hand side.
