Shrublands Farm
Shrublands Farm is a 300 acre family arable farm in the village of Northrepps, 2½ miles south-east of Cromer and 20 miles north of Norwich. It is the ideal base to explore the whole of North Norfolk.
It is an area of outstanding natural beauty close to the North Norfolk coast with fine beaches, bird sanctuaries, cliffs and marshes. Blakeney point is world famous for its seal colony.
CAMPING AND CARAVANNING
The campsite is in a corner of Shrublands Farm in a rural and beautiful location about a quarter of a mile from the farmhouse. It is two and a half miles from Cromer on the south side of the village of Northrepps. There are a number of lovely walks in the vicinity of the site. It is sheltered and peaceful with views across farm land.
The village pub the Foundry Arms is just 10 minutes walk away and serves good food in the bar or restaurant.
The nearest beach is at Overstrand approx. one and a half miles away or a 25 minute walk . There is plenty of room for children to play. On site we have electric hook ups and also toilets and showers. There is a waste disposal point.
Shrublands Farm is closed from November to March (except Easter)
GLAMPING
Shrublands Farm can now offer Glamping - there are two authentically built and fully insulated Shepherds Huts accommodating two people in each. They have double bed, electric hob, small fridge, kitchen utensils and crockery, electric kettle and toaster. Linen provided, flat screen TV with DVD player, pantry supplies including tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper, electric power points, outdoor picnic bench.
B & B / SELF-CATERING ACCOMMODATION
There is bed and breakfast accommodation in the farm house and also two self-catering properties where family holidays can be enjoyed.
OUT AND ABOUT
The local area has historic towns and pretty villages to visit. There is a wealth of places to discover. You can see coastal towns and villages that are steeped in history and tradition. You can drive along inland, quiet country lanes that lead to quaint villages and thriving market towns. There are many small shops that you can stop and browse through.
The Norfolk Broads is one of the England's National Parks. There are miles of waterways opening out into the Broads. It is a lovely landscape full of reed beds, wildlife and windmills. It is an important part of Norfolk's heritage.
Another great attraction is Blickling Hall which is an excellent Jacobean house and gardens. You can also see Sandringham, the Norfolk retreat of Her Majesty the Queen, or the Shrine at Walsingham which has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. The county capital Norwich has a vibrant shopping centre to explore as well as Castle Museum and Cathedral. Exploring Norfolk is very fun and rewarding with its range of attractions and sporting facilities for all of the family.
